Destiny Rae Jones is a podcaster and journalist dedicated to crafting thoughtful, human-centered stories across audio and digital platforms. She thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments and is known for her creative approach to storytelling. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

In May 2025, Destiny graduated magna cum laude and with high distinction from the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Media Studies. She was also one of nine students selected for the Media Studies Distinguished Majors Program. Her thesis, Sports as a Catalyst for Marginalization: An Exploration of Black Female Journalists Working in a Male-Dominated Field, examined how systemic barriers in sports media continue to shape the visibility, treatment, and advancement of Black women in front-facing roles, particularly in broadcast journalism.

Destiny’s academic journey is marked by ambition and early achievement. At 17, she graduated summa cum laude from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College with an Associate of Science in Business Administration, earned alongside her advanced high school diploma.

Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Destiny now lives in New York City.
