A Thousand Wishes Podcast

My Story

A Thousand Wishes is a miniseries to help others understand mental health and show those who struggle with it that they aren’t alone.

In the years leading up to my podcast, I had quietly battled self-harm and suicidal ideation, facing inner struggles that felt isolating and overwhelming. These experiences left a lasting impact, driving me to find a way to share my journey and connect with others who might be struggling in silence. It was my best friend, Erin, who suggested starting a podcast—an idea that immediately resonated with me. I realized it could be the perfect platform to talk openly about my journey and the power of kindness, independence, and self-love in healing. With her encouragement, I launched my podcast in May 2021, hoping to create a space where I could not only express my experiences but also connect with others who might be facing similar challenges. What began as a personal project soon grew into something much larger—an opportunity to foster understanding and inspire others through the lessons I had learned.

As I look back now, I’m filled with gratitude, not just for the highs but for the lows that once felt unbearable. The pain and confusion I experienced pushed me toward growth in ways I could never have imagined. Every setback came with a lesson, and every triumph felt even more rewarding because of where I had been. Through my podcast, I’ve had the chance to share that journey, how the trials made me stronger, and the triumphs taught me to appreciate every step. I’ve learned that it’s not just the good moments that shape us, but the tough ones too, and for that, I’m truly thankful.

“I listened to every episode in one go. She has a super soothing voice that makes the episodes honestly go by too quickly. I really appreciate the messages about mental health and think they are very beneficial to those entering adulthood needing to hear relatable anxieties and concerns. Highly recommend listening!”
